Welcome to Inner·Wave. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Email Addresses (Optional): If you choose to join our Pro version waitlist, we collect your email address. This is entirely voluntary.
1.2 Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage data to improve the app experience:
- Which meditation presets you use
- Session duration and completion rates
- App features you interact with
Important: This data is anonymized using a random user ID and cannot be linked back to your personal identity.
1.3 Health Data (Apple HealthKit)
Innerwave can optionally sync your meditation and sleep sessions with Apple Health. This integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission.
What health data we access:
- Mindful Minutes (meditation session duration)
- Sleep Analysis (sleep session duration)
How we use health data:
- Data is only written to Apple Health when you grant permission
- We do not read health data from Apple Health
- Health data is never transmitted to our servers
- Health data remains on your device and within Apple's Health app
- We do not share, sell, or use health data for any purpose other than writing to Apple Health
You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in your device Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Innerwave.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Email Addresses
- To notify you when the Pro version launches
- To send important app updates (rarely)
- We will never sell or share your email with third parties
2.2 Usage Data
- To understand which features are most valuable
- To improve app performance and user experience
- To prioritize new content and features
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:
- Email addresses: Stored in Supabase (secure cloud database with encryption)
- Usage data: Stored anonymously in Supabase
- Health data: Never leaves your device, only synced to Apple Health locally
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. The only exception:
- Service providers: Supabase (database hosting) and RevenueCat (payment processing for Pro subscriptions) may process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
5. Your Rights (GDPR & Privacy Laws)
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from emails or disable usage tracking

6. Children's Privacy
Innerwave is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
7. Third-Party Services
Innerwave integrates with the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Data storage and backend services
- RevenueCat: Subscription and payment management (when Pro launches)
- Apple HealthKit: Optional health data syncing (data stays on device)
These services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
8. Data Retention
- Email addresses: Retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe
- Usage data: Retained for analytical purposes, anonymized after 24 months
- Health data: Not retained by us; managed entirely by Apple Health
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in servers located in the European Union and United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with GDPR and applicable privacy laws.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Sending an email notification (if you're on our email list)
- Displaying an in-app notice
